We apply four core principles:
The system knows when each vehicle must be ready and what state of charge is required. Charging is planned according to these priorities.
Available grid capacity is allocated automatically across all vehicles based on their schedules and energy needs.
Vehicles that need to leave first are given priority. Those with later departure times charge more slowly.
The goal is not to charge every vehicle to the maximum. The goal is for each one to have the required charge at the exact moment it is needed.
Most depots do not have a grid connection designed to charge dozens of vehicles simultaneously at full power. This is not an exception — it is the reality for many organisations moving to electric fleets.
Example: a depot with 800 kW of available grid capacity and 40 vehicles. If all of them charged simultaneously at maximum power, the demand would reach approximately 2,400 kW. Instead of a costly and slow grid upgrade, Qerra OS manages the available 800 kW and allocates it according to departure schedules and the energy needs of each vehicle. The result is a fleet that is ready at the start of the working day — with no grid overload and no expensive investment.
